Five teams line up at the start: mother and son Jill and Jamie, twins Timo and Marcus, married couple Dana and Mario, best friends Lile and Dilara, and student couple Lykka and Carlo. As the adventure of "Wettlauf um die Welt" begins, which duo will work best together once the race is on?

In Chile, the participants face tough jobs: mining salt, working at a fish market and doing farm work at 3,600 metres, all amid thin air and desert heat. Who will keep their nerve on the long journey through the country?

In episode 3 of "Terra X – Wettlauf um die Welt", Lile and Dilara and Timo and Marcus top up their travel funds with jobs on a llama farm and caring for endangered wildlife. How well will each team cope with the strain?

In this episode, Jill and Jamie as well as Timo and Marcus visit the Iguazú Falls, while Lykka and Carlo experience the Wetlands. Dilara and Lile find out which prejudices the indigenous Guarani face – but what decision awaits the teams at the checkpoint?

In episode 5 of "Terra X – Wettlauf um die Welt", Lile and Dilara realise they have forgotten their passports. Meanwhile, Lykka and Carlo head out onto the Atlantic, where whales can be spotted. What will the mix-up mean for Lile and Dilara's race?

In the final stretch of "Wettlauf um die Welt", Jamie faces a wild ride in the snowy heights of Bariloche, while Lile and Dilara find themselves at hot springs at the foot of a volcano. Who will make it to the finish line first?
